14th District AIDS Council (DAC) Meeting Bahawalnagar conducted on 11-05-2026 at DHDC Hall,
District Health Authorities, Bahawalnagar. Attendees were , Dr. Shoukat (CEO DHA, Bahawalnagar& Chairperson of Meeting) Dr. Ansar (MO, District Jail), Dr. Hunza Shahid (ART) In-charge, DHQ Hospital), M.Azam Hameed Manager Social welfare), Muhammad Imran (Manager District Coordination, Nai Zindagi Trust PR-Office Islamabad), Muhammad Afzaal (Site Administrator, Nai Zindagi), Mr. Shoukat (Representative, DHQ Hospital), Other participant from Nai Zindagi Trust Copc site.
The meeting began with Quran recitation and participant introductions. The DAC has been acting as an advisory and lesson-learned sharing council for HIV/AIDS-related activities in Bahawalnagar since September 2013, according to Muhammad Imran Khan, Manager of District Coordination. In order to support HIV/AIDS treatment, DAC would assist in fostering more district-level cooperation. Later, he opened the discussion to improve the referral system between Nai Zindagi, District Health Authorities, and the ART Center by addressing field issues and challenges. Muhammad Imran discussed the DAC’s main roles in inter-stakeholder engagement, knowledge sharing, and HIV/AIDS initiatives. Focus on resolving issues in the field and enhancing referral systems.
Dr. Shoukat (CEO DHA, Bahawalnagar) assured district health administration’s support for NZ activities. Participants praised NZ’s efforts, and district health officials assured to work with local groups to further cooperation. With overwhelming support for NZ’s initiatives and future partnerships, the meeting reaffirmed DAC’s critical role in coordinating HIV/AIDS responses
