A District AIDS Council -DAC meeting of the 12th District AIDS Council, Bahawalnagar was held on 14-April-2025 at 11:00 P.M in the CEO DHA Bahawalnagar Office’s associated conference room. Meeting was started with commencement of the recitation of some verses Holy Quran. The meeting was chaired by Dr. Amir Raza (CEO, District Health Authority Bahawalnagar) and Co Chaired by Mr. Muhammad Imran (Manager District Coordination NZT Pakistan and Mr. Muhammad Afzaal- Site Administrator NZT Bahawalnagar. The participants of the District AIDS Council meeting are as follows. Dr. Amir Raza (CEO DHA Bahawalnagar) Mr. Muhammad Imran (Manager District Coordination Pakistan) Mr. Muhammad Afzaal (Site Administrator Nai Zindagi Trust COPC+ Bahawalnagar) Dr. Naveed ul-Rehman (Medical Officer, District Jail Bahawalnagar), Allah Rakha (Health Department), Dr. M. Abdullah Khan -DDHO DHQ-Bahawalnagar, Dr. Shoukat (MS-DHQ Bahawalnagar), Dr. Sadia Ismaeel (ART Center In charge for HIV Clinic Bahawalnagar).
Mr. Muhammad Imran started the discussion and welcomed all participants. He further provides an overview of the meeting’s objectives. Mr. Muhammad Imran (Manager District coordination) also provide a comprehensive update on the current HIV/AIDS situation regarding PWID in the district, including statistics, trends, and challenges. In this meeting, Nai Zindagi Trust shared activities, performance, and measures taken by Nai Zindagi Trust to prevent the PWIDs at District Bahawalnagar till 10 April, 2025. The participants in the meeting expressed complete satisfaction with the performance of the Nai Zindagi Trust.He also shares the challenges during service deliveries.
Dr. M Amir Raza-CEO, DHA Bahawalnagar, keenly noted all concerns and further directed to concerns sections of District health and district Administration. He later concluded the DAC meeting by commending the collaboration between Punjab AIDS Control Program and Nai Zindagi Trust, providing essential services and HIV treatment to affected individuals. The meeting adjourned at 12:40 P.M. with a vote of thanks to and from the Chair.
