A meeting of the 11th District AIDS Council, Bahawalnagar was held on 28-August-2024 at 12:10 P.M in the CEO DHA Bahawalnagar Office’s associated conference room. Meeting was started with commencement of the recitation of some verses Holy Quran. The meeting was chaired by Dr. Amir Khan (District Health Officer, District Health Authority Bahawalnagar) and Co-chaired by Mr. Muhammad Imran (Manager District Coordination Pakistan and Mr. Muhammad Afzaal- Site Manager-Bahawalnagar. Mr. Muhammad Imran addressed the meeting, welcomed everyone, and gave an overview of the DAC’s objectives. Mr. Muhammad Imran (Manager District Coordination) also offered an overview of the district’s current HIV/AIDS condition in PWID, including statistics, trends, and issues. Participants also shared challenges and parameters to be taken for reduction of HIV in district Bahawalnagar. After detail discussion and suggestions given by relevant departments , Dr. M. Amir Khan-DHO, DHA Bahawalnagar, concluded the DAC meeting by praising the work between the Punjab AIDS Control Program and the Nai Zindagi Trust in delivering critical services and HIV treatment to affected people. The meeting concluded at 12:10 p.m. with a vote of gratitude to and from the Chair.
In this meeting, Nai Zindagi Trust highlighted its activities, performance, and actions taken to avoid PWIDs in District Bahawalnagar until July 31, 2024. Participants in the meeting reported great satisfaction with the Performance of the Nai Zindagi Trust.
