Nai Zindagi Principal Recipient Global Fund (HIV) and Sindh AIDS Control Program signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for establishment of a CoPC+ site at Larkana.
Nai Zindagi is already implementing HIV prevention, care and referral services for PWID and spouses of HIV+ PWID through 12 CoPC+ sites in Sindh province. In October 2016, an HIV epidemic was reported specifically in Larkana and after negotiations between SACP, NZ and Global Fund, it was decided that NZ will establish a new CoPC+ site in Larkana on emergency basis. Program Manager Sindh AIDS Control Program Dr. Muhammad Yunus Chachar at the occasion of signing of MoU especially lauded the role of Nai Zindagi for coming forward to respond at a short notice of time. He assured full support of SACP for establishment of CoPC+ site at Larkana and roll out of services.
