Abdul Fatah Hulio Deputy Commissioner Badin presided over the meeting, welcomed to all participants and asked the management of Nai Zindagi Trust to share presentation. Dr. Ghous Bux Malik sb, Manager Coordination Sindh presented comprehensive updates on the current situation of HIV/AIDS among PWIDs in Pakistan, especially in Badin, including statistics, trends, and prevalence rates, as well as prevalence rates among spouses and children, and services that are carried out by Nai Zindagi for prevention and harm reduction and HIV treatment from government hospitals and ART centers. In this meeting, progress indicators were also shared by the district representative. Dr. Danish Khaskheli suggested initiating HIV testing at every health facility and also awareness camps should be organized so that HIV prevalence can be controlled.

All stakeholders gave their input to better coordination and effective working, as well as appreciated the efforts of Nai Zindagi. At the end of the meeting, the Deputy Commissioner recommended that Nai Zindagi organize seminars and workshops in Schools, colleges, Jails, and other public places to raise awareness of HIV and AIDS. Moreover,  the Deputy Commissioner ensured to provide support to Nai Zindagi for the smooth implementation of the project activities. SSP Badin Sheeraz Nazir expressed his views and said that the Police department will conduct an Awareness program jointly with Nai Zindagi Trust.
