The meeting started with the recitation of the Holy Quran and the introduction of the participants. Muhammad Imran Khan ADC (R & HR), Peshawar,Noor Muhammad District Social Welfare Officer Peshawar, Mokhtiar Ahmad DSP Police Department Peshawar,Malik Arshid AD Local Government Peshawar,Dr Arthy DHO Office Peshawar,Waqar AG-II DC Office Peshawar, Shabir Ahmad Provincial Coordinator NZ KP,Amir Muhammad AAA NZ Peshawar, and Ammad Khan SMZ NZ Peshawar participated in this important event.

Participants in the meeting were briefed by Shabbir Provincial Coordinator KPK regarding the importance of the DAC (District AIDS Council) in Peshawar. The team Nai Zindagi shared their quarterly progress with the DAC members as well as discussed the issues at the field level. Furthermore, how DAC will work for coordination, liaison, covering field-related issues, and strengthening the referral mechanism

The progress of the NZ year 2023 was shared in detail with the participants of the meeting. It was shared with the district administration that there are currently 1457 PWIDs registered with the Nai Zindagi Peshawar office. Among these 1457 PWIDs, 533 are HIV positive, and 469 are on ART Data. While there are 131 spouses registered with Nai Zindagi, 26 are HIV positive, and all of these positive spouses are registered with ART centres
